Sleep...

When you become pregnant EVERYONE has advice or something to say...you know what I'm talking about. Lets run down a few...
1.) When your baby is born you can say goodbye to sleep the first few months
2.) Having a baby is soooo painful <- insert rolling of the eyes. I thought having a baby the size of a Watermelon was going to be a piece of pie!
3.) “Did you know you’re not supposed to…” (fill in — “eat that,” “do that,” etc.)
4.) Make sure your baby wears this kind of diaper, or uses this kind of bottle, the best medicine  for this...bla bla bla.
I don't want sound ungrateful for some of the advice or opinions its just...I don't recall asking. I'm not afraid to ask the people close to me. Dude I'm shopping for shoes what does it matter if Im going to get the epidermal or not. Do I even know your name?
Lets run back to annoying comment number one. "Not going to get sleep for the first couple months." I've now been a mom for 9 years and I'm curious if the couple months is over yet? Sleep, I don't lack sleep cause my kids aren't sleeping no, no. I lack sleep because I'm a MOM! Time to lay down for bed and its when your brain doesn't want to turn off. So, here are some mommy thoughts while I lay my head down on my pillow...
1.) Shit I forgot to switch the laundry.
2.) Did I sign Dylan's planner for school tomorrow?
3.) Ahhh Mason has a cardiology appointment tomorrow...(run through the worst possible outcome scenarios.)
4.) I can't believe that kid bullied Dylan (insert the things I secretly want to do to him for making my son cry himself to sleep.)
5.) I hope his fever goes down, what if it spikes again while I'm sleeping? I better stay awake and keep an eye on him.
Then there's the obvious...Overworking, overthinking and the baby/kid not sleeping.
For me my kids are so routine and scheduled its like clock work when they will sleep. They love their sleep and a lot of it!
